AAPT Limited, a tier-2 Australian telecommunication company and wholly owned subsidiary of Telecom New Zealand, is the third largest Telco in the Australian telecommunications market.
To make the company truly competitive as an attacker a complete BSS transformation project was initiated. The scope of the project included a new operating model and new processes and technology using the Infonova solution. According to AAPT press releases the system focuses on the provisioning of its core mass market consumer offerings across fixed, mobile and Internet.
The billing system with its service oriented architecture reduced consumer service provisioning time for 80 percent. Once the platform is fully deployed it will feature complete customer self service features. Reduced time for changing individual details and simple graphical user interfaces lead to higher customer satisfaction.
