GRAZ, AUSTRIA– March 1, 2010 – Infonova today confirmed that they have joined the BT led TM Forum Cloud Services Broker (CSB) at this year’s Management World in Nice from 18th to 20th May. Together with BT’s cloud catalyst partners Comptel, Square Hoop and OpenNMS, Infonova is providing its proven customer & monetisation platform, the BSS Release 6 that will simplify the way to deliver, manage and monetize complex cloud services to enterprise customers.
“The CSB is the first system to address the complex barriers to cloud adoption and enable organisations to realise the full potential that cloud has to offer”, says Gary Bruce, Principal Researcher BT Innovate & Design, “this catalyst builds on the capabilities showcased at Management World in Orlando and we are pleased to include the Infonova BSS Release 6 to demonstrate how enterprise customers can take control of these services from a monetization perspective”.
The catalyst will demonstrate how BT can be the service aggregator and orchestrator of sophisticated cloud services and simultaneously, how an enterprise customer can be both the consumer and retailer of those services.
The design of Infonova’s BSS Release 6 enables the platform operator to aggregate and monetize cloud services with a variety of other services that an enterprise customer would need such as ERP, VPN’s, mobile devices, insurance and media.
Additionally Infonova’s BSS Release 6 multi tenancy capabilities enables enterprise customers such as Banks to manage, price and automatically bill for the use of the operators cloud services (and other services) as if the services are the Bank’s.
“Multinational corporations need a way to attribute the cost of using cloud services from multiple service providers to their departments, branch offices and cost centers globally. Operators need an automated approach to bill multiple tenant enterprise customers for all types of charges, discounts and compensations (e.g. for outages or SLA violations) – and the catalyst project shows all of that in an integrated and automated manner from order to cash.” says Andrew Thomson, VP Infonova Solutions.
The solution is based on TMForum´s Solution Frameworks like NGOSS Contracts, eTOM and the Information Framework (SID) – in addition the project will demonstrate the first implementation of the TMForum Interface Program (TIP) Service Problem Management (SPM) interface, while also the work of the Product and Service Assembly Initiative (PSA) around active catalogs plays an important role.
